Packed with the show’s trademark dry wit (“Put the money in a bag!” “Ok. Did you bring your own bag? Or I’ll have to charge you a nickel.”), deadpan small-town silliness (see Davis’ “detective work”, Wanda’s “Booze Box”), and crazy cast of characters (Oscar’s apocalypse prep is a riot), with a surprisingly tragically-tinged plot (with a wacky climax foretold in the beginning and left unexplained until the end). The end is a little sappy but it’s to be expected for this feel-good family fare.
