The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets. (IMDb)
A few new faces, a lot of the same old shit (cars, explosions, a model to take by the hand everywhere, a plot that’s cheesy and/or confusing and exposited by boring dialogue) with some new things to groan at (enough pop songs and product placement already) but some saving graces too (Sam’s restlessness, the Dylan twist, the hopeless feeling before the final battle–the latter of which finally paired the impressive CGI with some coherent and cool action sequences; see the glass building collapse).
6/10 (Mediocre)
I think this movie was the real low point of the series. The story starts out interesting, and Léonard Nimoy was at voicing Sentinel Prime, but I really didn’t care for much about the characters (either the humans nor the Transformers). Plus, having Patrick Dempsey as a bad guy just seems goody and weird.

for me, the low point was the second one, but yeah, this one wasn’t exactly great either!

I think I’ve only seeing Dark of the Moon once. I only own the Blu-Ray just for completing the series.

It’s funny how Mark Walhberg has made the Shia LaBoeuf years seem quaint.

i actually like wahlberg in the last one, and thought it was the best one since the first (review to come shortly), but nothing tops labeouf’s goofy teen in the first one.
